Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how AstroMap processes users' personal data in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018). Use of the app is also subject to the Terms of Use.

Important notice: this policy is informational and does not replace professional legal review.

1. Categories of data collected

In the context of the app, AstroMap may process the following categories of personal data:

• Identity and authentication: email address and password, as well as social login credentials from Google and Apple. Authentication is managed through Firebase Authentication.
• Birth profile: date, time and place of birth. The place provided is geocoded, meaning it is converted into geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude).
• Usage and analytics data: information about interaction with the app, collected for statistical purposes and service improvement.
• Push notification token (FCM): technical identifier used to send astrological transit alerts by notification.
• Subscription status: indication of the current plan (free, trial or premium).

2. Birth data, purpose and legal basis

Birth data — date, time and place — is personal data and forms the basis for the personalized astrological interpretation offered by the app. This is the main purpose of processing.

Under the LGPD, processing of this data relies on a legal basis compatible with its purpose, namely performance of the contract with the data subject and, where applicable, the data subject's consent. The data subject may request clarification about the legal basis applicable to each processing activity at any time.

AstroMap is rated for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13 and 17 must use the app with the knowledge and authorization of a legal guardian, as stated in the Terms of Use.

3. Sharing with third parties and subprocessors

To enable the service, AstroMap relies on subprocessors and third parties that process personal data on behalf of the app:

• Firebase / Google: account authentication and push notifications (FCM).
• Geocoding (Google): conversion of the place of birth into geographic coordinates.
• App stores (Apple and Google): app distribution and subscription management.
• Analytics providers: usage measurement, when authorized by the data subject.

Some of these providers are located outside Brazil. As a result, international transfers of personal data may occur, always subject to the safeguards required by the LGPD.

4. Data subject rights

Under the LGPD, the data subject has rights including:

• access to processed personal data;
• correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• deletion of processed personal data;
• portability of data to another service provider;
• withdrawal of consent previously granted.

5. Account and data deletion

The app offers an account deletion option in its settings. When account deletion is requested, the account and associated personal data are deleted, except for information that must be retained due to legal or regulatory obligations.

6. Analytics and consent

Analytics data collection depends on the data subject's prior consent (opt-in), aligned with the consent control shown in the app. Until consent is granted, this collection does not occur. Consent may be withdrawn at any time in app settings, without prejudice to other features.

7. Retention and security

Personal data is retained only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or legal obligations. Once the purpose is exhausted, data is deleted or anonymized, subject to the applicable retention policy.

Communication between the app and services is protected by encryption in transit (TLS), and technical and administrative security measures are adopted to protect personal data.

8. Privacy on this website

This page is a static institutional website and does not collect personal data from visitors. The site does not use tracking cookies or navigation analytics tools.

9. Controller, effective date and contact

For LGPD purposes, the controller of personal data processed in AstroMap is the natural person responsible for operating the service. Until a data protection officer is formally appointed, the communication channel for privacy and data protection matters is suporte@useastromap.com.
